Founded in 2015, from the ashes of GSM Magazine, Dircksey is ECU Student Guild’s editorially independent student magazine, funded by the ECU Guild.

With six editions throughout the year, Dircksey aims to entertain, enlighten and express the diverse and interesting voices on campus.

The  printed editions are distributed around all three ECU campuses and over Perth. They are absolutely free so start collecting yours today or view their digital print issues here.

They also publish articles, creative writing and reviews on their website. Online content does not adhere to themes or deadlines, so you can write to your hearts desire when your heart desires it!

Applications are now open for the position of Dircksey Editor-in-Chief 2018.

Applications close on Thursday the 26th of October at 6pm.

Applicants MUST read the Dircksey Regulations prior to applying, which are featured below.

Applications are to be sent to editors@ecuguild.org.au

Applications should include a portfolio, resume and a 200 word bio about you.

Applications must also include answers to the following questions:

  • How did you find out about Dircksey?
  • What’s your vision for Dirckey in 2018?
  • What do you believe the role of an editor entails?
  • What experience/s do you have that make you an ideal candidate for this position?

Applicants must have experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop. Premier Pro would also be ideal, but is not crucial. Applicants should also be aware of MEAA guidelines.

Successful applicants will move onto the interview process.
