Important Updates and Support Services over the Holiday Period
As the end of the year approaches, it’s important for ECU students to stay on top of key deadlines and support services available during the holiday season. Here’s what you need to know:
Formal Review Applications
The deadline for submitting APSR (Exclusion) Formal Review applications and Unit Result Formal Review applications is close of business on 22 January 2024.
If you need support with your application, you can book an appointment with a Guild Advisory Officer (GAO) via the Guild website GAO booking page. While bookings can be made over the Christmas break, appointments will take place after the Guild office reopens on 6 January.
Student Appeals Committee Applications
Students looking to appeal Academic Misconduct outcomes through the Student Appeals Committee can also schedule appointments with GAOs for guidance. Appeal timeframes have been extended to account for the holiday closure, and the specific deadlines will be outlined in your outcome email.
Self-Help Resources
Don’t forget to explore the Self-Help Information Guides available on the ECU Guild website homepage. These guides cover a range of topics to help you navigate university life and processes.
Mental Health Support at The Living Room
For mental health support, ECU’s The Living Room (Joondalup) drop-in service will be open during the following times:
- 9am–3pm until 20 December
- Re-opening 13 January, 9am–4pm
We encourage students to take advantage of these resources and reach out for support if needed. The Guild is here to help, and we wish everyone a safe and restful holiday season!
