Applications open: 2026 Dircksey Editor-in-Chief
The ECU Student Guild is on the lookout for a new Dircksey Editor-in-Chief to lead ECU’s student magazine into its next exciting year!
Starting 1 December 2025, this role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and organised student to take charge of Dircksey’s creative direction throughout 2026.
As the Editor-in-Chief, you’ll:
• Set timelines for the two 2026 print editions and other media projects for the year
• Organise contributor meetings to get students involved
• Proof, edit, and liaise with writers on their submissions
• Coordinate artwork and design — either hands-on or by outsourcing within budget
• Proof and publish each edition
• Encourage students from all schools to share their creativity through writing, art, and more
You’ll have desk space at ECU City (temporarily in Joondalup until Feb 26), support from the ECU Student Guild to manage budgets and timelines, and the satisfaction of seeing your work published and distributed across all campuses.
