PINES: Your New Favourite Festival Is Coming to ECU

Live music, food trucks, a Silent Disco and a night under the pine trees with your mates. Sounds pretty good, right?

On Friday 25 September, the ECU Student Guild is launching PINES, a brand-new outdoor music festival taking over the lakeside pines at ECU Joondalup.

For one night only, The Pines will be transformed into a festival space packed with live music, DJs, food, drinks and plenty of opportunities to dance, sing along and discover your next favourite band.

Four Acts, One Big Night

Whether you’re into indie rock, acoustic vibes or crowd-favourite singalongs, the PINES line-up has something for everyone.

Micaela Hull

Opening the night is Micaela Hull from The Wanted Gems.

With warm vocals, heartfelt songwriting and a laid-back acoustic sound, Micaela Hull is the perfect way to ease into the evening while the festival gets underway.

Girl Power Jukebox

If belting out your favourite songs with friends sounds like your idea of a good night, Girl Power Jukebox has you covered.

This all-female live band celebrates some of the biggest women in music, bringing huge energy and plenty of singalong moments. Expect everything from pop and rock to soul and dance-floor classics.

The Kickons

Next up are Perth favourites The Kickons. Known for energetic live performances and catchy indie-rock anthems, they’re the band that gets the whole crowd moving. Expect big choruses, good vibes and plenty of festival energy.

Lazy Haze

Headlining the inaugural PINES festival is Lazy Haze.

The Perth indie-rock five-piece has built a reputation for high-energy live shows, gritty guitars and memorable hooks. If you’re planning to save your dancing for the headline act, this is the set you’ll want to stick around for.

More Than Just Music

PINES isn’t just about what’s happening on stage.

Between sets, DJs will keep the atmosphere going, while the Silent Disco gives you the chance to pick your own soundtrack and show off your best dance moves.

Add food trucks, a bar, and a unique outdoor setting beside the lake, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a memorable night out with friends.
