Nominations open for the General Secretary

Nominations are now open for the General Secretary position at the ECU Student Guild, following a recent resignation.

The role will be filled by secret ballot at a Special General Meeting (SGM) on Wednesday 20 May 2026. The General Secretary is a key student leadership position, supporting the governance and administration of the Guild, including Senate operations, meeting processes, and policy development.

The position offers valuable experience in leadership and not-for-profit governance, while representing the interests of the student body. An honoraria is provided in recognition of the time and responsibilities involved.

Nominations close Tuesday 12 May 2026 at 4:00pm. To be eligible, students must be Guild Members, enrolled at an ECU Western Australian campus, and at least 18 years old by the date of the election. Standard eligibility and disqualification conditions apply.
