The ECU Student Guild is the primary representative student organisation at ECU. It is run by students, for the benefit of students enrolled at ECU. The Guild organises events and activities, provides support services and assistance as well as many other benefits for its members. Student representatives are elected as members of the Guild Senate, which is the Guild’s governing body.

Nominations Information

The ECU Student Guild Senate General Elections are held annually to give students the opportunity to choose their representatives on the Guild Senate—the Guild’s governing body. Nominations are open to eligible Guild members, and once the nomination period closes, all ECU students can vote to elect their representatives.  The full election schedule, candidate requirements, policies, guidelines, and reference documents are available below to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the process.

  • Only one campaigner per candidate is permitted to actively campaign at any one time at any given campus.

  • Campaigner names must be submitted by the candidate or Group Agent to the RO by 4.00pm on Monday 6th October using a Campaigner Registration Form available on the election website.
  • Campaigners must attend the RO Meeting at 1.00pm on 9th Oct to remain qualified as campaigners.
  • A candidate whose campaigner contravenes the campaigning rules may have their candidacy voided, can face suspension from campaigning or other penalties and as a result. Campaigners themselves are subject to suspension from campaigning or termination as a campaigner.
